Geoffrey,
Good capture of this "full flaps" approach (I am a pilot too). If this is cropped, it looks just a bit too tight to my eye. If not, it would be easy in post to add a bit of space on the sides and bottom. |

Brenda,
I think this is a pleasing but not particularly remarkable scenic shot in Glacier. I expect you have some better images from that trip to Glacier. I might place a graduated vignette over the too bright foreground. |

Donna,
Well, you definitely got an interesting expression on this one. Nice sharp image with soft background. |

Candy,
I like the cropping you did from the original and the removal of the distracting leaf in the background. I think I would like a color version a bit more. |

Pierre,
I might usually regard a background like this as too busy and distracting but it actually works well in this image to provide separation from the foreground subject and local habitat. I would probably crop in from the top and left a bit to provide a bit more emphasis on the owl. |

Good catch Mervyn. I especially like the lighting in the foreground and on the animal and the darker background. |

Thanks Donna. These days getting down at ground level is less and less likely. Actually, getting down is OK; it is getting up that's the challenge. I guess that's why I have a tripod. |
