Good capture of this "full flaps" approach (I am a pilot too). If this is cropped, it looks just a bit too tight to my eye. If not, it would be easy in post to add a bit of space on the sides and bottom.		 Jan 2nd

I think this is a pleasing but not particularly remarkable scenic shot in Glacier. I expect you have some better images from that trip to Glacier. I might place a graduated vignette over the too bright foreground. 		Jan 2nd

I like the cropping you did from the original and the removal of the distracting leaf in the background. I think I would like a color version a bit more.		 Jan 2nd

I might usually regard a background like this as too busy and distracting but it actually works well in this image to provide separation from the foreground subject and local habitat. I would probably crop in from the top and left a bit to provide a bit more emphasis on the owl.		 Jan 2nd

69 Jan 19 Comment Thanks Donna. These days getting down at ground level is less and less likely. Actually, getting down is OK; it is getting up that's the challenge. I guess that's why I have a tripod. Jan 2nd
