I like your imagination in seeing a face in the front of the tractor. I probably would have walked by and not seen it. I think you can emphasize the "face" a little more by cropping up from the bottom to remove what looks like a bumper and erase the orange and blue caps which kind of distract my eye. Over all a fun image though. |

I like the cropping and the pose. The contrast between light background slightly out of focus and the darker image of the young lady really emphasizes the subject. I don't do hardly any portrait work, but I have a granddaughter that wears glasses that are a pain to avoid the reflection and even harder to remove from the image. It looks like Marla has figured out the trick in removing it in post. I'm wondering if slightly different positioning of the off camera flash might eliminate it completely? |

I like the effect you created. As you said, it's often hard to bring a new perspective to an object that has been photographed so many times. I looked at some of them on the internet and I think that you succeeded. The black and white rendering and the long exposure work to provide some real contrast between the "tree" and the sky. I saw one image taken from nearly the same angle, but there were puffy clouds in the sky that seemed to detract from the subject. |

Nicely done. I think the image does a great job of freezing the action and providing great detail in the horse, sulky, and driver. I was wondering if you were panning with the movement of the horse as the background appears to be slightly blurred, more than I would expect at f8. It really brings out the main subject of the image. |

RIP to the Monarch. I have to agree with Marla that I like the 18WEB version better. Again just personal preference. Credit to you for noticing it on the grill and memorializing a beautiful Monarch with the image. |

Thanks. The Japanese maples in the shot took my breath away when I dove past them. I wanted that color brilliance to show in the image without having it look overdone. |
