I think the appearance of the lamp posts may be an optical illusion as the horizon is level. The other explanation is that the light posts are actually tilted. |

I've seen these used before and they provide an interesting addition to some images. The trick is to keep it from looking "gimmicky". I think you succeeded. It provides an intriguing view of something that is really common in Venice. My only questions are how heavy was it and what did you have to leave home? |

I understand your passion for symmetry and it does work cropped. I did line up a little off center to give it a little bit different look and to include the green harbor light in the distance. I have a horizontal version, but it didn't work as well as the vertical. Thanks for the suggestion. |

My first impression was "What a plain image? The more I look at it , the more things stand out. The shutter speed was slow enough to smooth some of the water flow, but fast enough to capture some of the action provided by fast flowing water. It bright, but not too bright and nice muted colors under the surface. Overall, I like the image. |
