25 Mar 17 Comment I like the low horizon with the emphasis on the sky. Most people when taking sunset pictures seem to place the horizon close to the center and cut out the gradient in colors when there are clouds. Great contrast between the gray/orange clouds and the yellows near the horizon. Mar 14th
25 Mar 17 Reply I appreciate the suggestion. Some images scream black and white, but I think I prefer this one in color. I think it loses some of the depth that others saw in it by rendering it in B&W. Mar 12th
25 Mar 17 Comment I have to agree with the others that the tree trunk on the right is a distraction and cropping it out improves the image. There's great detail. I especially like the eyes, and you might have called it "The Eyes Have It". I'm surprised there is not more noise though at ISO 5000. Did you use a de-noise app? All in all a nice capture. Mar 11th
25 Mar 17 Comment I like the down low perspective. One I first looked at it I wondered if you were laying on the floor to get the shot. The composition is so good, I'm still wondering if you had to lie on the floor to set up the shot. The HDR image turned out great. I have no criticisms of the image, just questions about how you did it. Mar 11th
25 Mar 17 Comment Nice detail in the male mallard. I like the contrast between the duck and the reflection in the water behind him. You could have used a cloning tool to get rid of the spots from your sensor. They kind of distract from the nice detail in the ducks and water's surface. The sensor on my D7000 has quite a few "spots" and it usually takes me some extra time after getting the image the way I want it to get rid of the spots. Mar 11th
25 Mar 17 Comment I love cars, especially older British sports cars. I have a '59 Austin-Healey 100-6 sitting home in the garage waiting for me to stop traveling long enough to begin the restoration. An MG-TD would be my second choice. You did a great job of capturing the characteristic grille of this classic. The inclusion of the badges adds some color to the chrome. I see why you made the crop that you did to exclude the women and chair to the right. I may have included the remainder of the fog lamp and the horizontal badge bar. Overall though I think you've captured the essence of this classic sports car. Mar 11th
