i appreciate everyone's comments. I find Cora's comments echo mine - it's a nice image but something is just not right. the brightest area is dead center and there is too much space top and bottom. So i attached a cropped version. I tightened the crop from the right and top and tried to enhance the silhouette. And adjusted the colors. How does it look? |

Thanks. I also thought the same about the symmetry. If I crop with the same 2:3 scale, the bridge pillars in the far left of the image would be too close to the edge. I could crop that out altogether, but I like the depth and layers the image has leaving that far pillar in the image.
BTY, I also took some images with a 5D filter to smooth the water out but it didn't work so well. I'll try it again. I think the sky needs to be brighter to do the 5D. |

Thanks for the comments. I took HDR at the same time. This image is one of the bracketed images. I thought the silhouette was the best image in comparison to the HDR. |

I agree with Graham that cropping tighter enhances the image. The player closest to the shooter is blurred and distracting. And the brackets in the lower part of the image is distracting. It's better with a tighter crop. |

I agree with Graham. Great shot and tremendous that you did it hand-held!! The bokeh is great. Maybe a little less tight could be considered if there is nothing else around the bird but it's great shot as it is. |

Very nice photo. Exposure is good. I would probably crop out the road and the left side to emphasize the rider contrasting yellow leaves and dark bison. |
