Thank you. We have something called a 'lightning bug' that is supposed to trigger the camera at just the right second. But the results were inconsistent. Our little point-and-shoot camera set on bulb gave our most successful results. But the battery was dead for this storm. A lot of this is luck. |

Indeed, it looks like a dramatic starburst. This is much more effective as a B&W. Well done. |

It is really difficult to find a true monochromatic image in real life. You found a good one. The flower stalk is in good focus and nicely lit. The spider web is a big plus. I found the background a little distracting. I sampled the shadows using the eye dropped at 101x101. Then added a blank layer and painted over the bright areas. This was a little too harsh; reducing opacity allowed some of those areas to show through without being distracting. |

This is a very dramatic image. The DOF nicely separates the leopard from the background. I would like to see just a little more brightness/contrast. I used levels to brighten the whites and midtones just a little. Then his left eye seemed too dark. When I enlarged it in order to select just the eye, I was amazed at the detail you captured. Wow! Good job. |

What a goofy and happy image! Your edits improved an already great image. I love it. I cropped a little from the right for composition. It seemed out of balance - but that's just me. |

These mountains are lovely. We were there on a rainy day and didn't get good pictures. The original is monochromatic itself, but your edits have made the image brighter and more colorful. As to the branches, they add foreground and give depth to the image. |

Thank you for your nice comments. I did think that the plastic wrap gave it a surreal feeling. But the blue vignette could be darker, as Denise suggested. |

Thank you. This version is better than mine. Those scratchy lines in the background are a result of the plastic wrap filter. They should have been masked off/ |

This looks like an oil painting. The stem? I think it prevents the flower from floating in space. |

The addition of the plane and the pigeon make this more than a straight architectural shot. The flag folders are distracting; you were right to remove them. You must have done some work on the sky as well, because I can see the sun rays just a little bit better. Anymore emphasis than what you did would have made the rays look false. |

Your processing gave this image a nice fantasy feel. But perhaps you might have toned down all those textures on the girl - just toned down, not removed. But I like it a lot. |

This is really an excellent photograph. It is technically perfect - exposure, DOF, color balance, composition. You did a good job of removing the fence; there is not even a hint of a clue that the fence was ever there. The textures you added to the sky took away that over-bright blank white. Very good, indeed. |
