Thank you all for trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear. I put this in just as a way of sharing a fun experiment with you all. This past winter was too warm for this. But you have encouraged me to try again, but more seriously photographically. |

Aspen leaves are indeed beautiful in their simplicity. The green edge on the left leaf adds much interest. As far as using selective focus to blur the background - that would be difficult here because the leaves and the background are almost on the same plane. I would like to see more detail and depth (deeper color, more contrast) in the leaves. Just for fun, I tried blurring the background. Didn't do a great job, though. |

Begonias are lovely subjects. And good for you that you persisted. To my eye, there is a nice composition in the center area. I did adjust some in Topaz Stidio for clarity, color and precosopn contrast. |

What perfect focus and ezposure on the droplet! The tiny detail in the drop makes the image. The starburst is icing on the cake. I would just suggest darkening the vright areas in uppper left and lower right. My ezample has some darkeninng, but I was afraid of overdoing it and getting a muddy result. |

This is an amazing enlargement! The background works well, as the greens and the tans are natural colors. You chose an interesting drop, framed as it is within that nice arch. In all that clutter, you still manages to get good focus on that tiny drop. Now, when your shoulder is healed, get out with a macro and move in on any interesting drop. |

You found a tulip that has a lot of 'personality'. The drooping petals add great interest to an ordinary subject. I think another tulip is behind the subject looking much like a crown. What a good eye to see this composition. Your focus and exposure are spot on. The dark morning helped saturate the colors. Your post processing brought out the beauty of the scene. Excellent job. |

This is a fun exercize with almost endless variations. The rainbow colors reflect nicely in the drops. It is interesting that the colors in the drops seem to be in stripes. I would just crop some from the left and right. I tried many funky filters on this - not as an improvement, just for fun. It was fun, but no improvement on your image. |

Thank you all for your comments. The girl does look better with that extra 5 pounds. It is interesting that one of you made the umbrella darker, and another made the unbrella lighter. That umbrella is one of my favorite objects, and I keep finding excuses to use it. But the results are never as good as imagined. |

Lovely. Everything you did improved an already good image. The depth of field doesn't bother me as it falls off gently from front to back. I like this, but then, I'm partial to purple hydrangeas. |

Very nice. The flower beneath does really look like a reflection. The cropping is well done. Filling in the missing petal is also well done. Wow! You used AI Remix on the flower? I only get really strange results with most of those presets. Thanks for the tip. |

All your work paid off in your final color version. You cleaned up the background and brought the colors out. It is a very dramatic image. As for the B&W, I would prefer more contrast and a wider tonal range, but that's just me. I would like to see it just as dramatic as the finial color version. There is nothing sweet and dreamy about this gal. |

Cute title! You did an excellent job of softening the background. There are no distractions there. The exposure on the flower is perfect - no burned out whites, no muddy looking petals (from under exposing). Your work with the painterly effect is very effective. I like the small white from with the ragged edge. BTW, I heard that Topaz Studio 1 and 2 will not work with Windows 11. Alas, that's my go-to editing software. |

You have great detail in the little mouse and the flowers. The catchlight in his eye and the whiskers are perfect. Reversing the image makes a better composition. You could give Hazel Meredith a run for her money with your textures and painting. Fine job. |
