You and Kerstin did much better than I did. Thanks. |

You did a really good job on those hot spots. Sometimes I don't clean up spots like that; I might not have the skills to actually do it well. |

I am thinking of taking that PSA course on still life. I have much to learn about that topic. |

What makes this image so interesting to me is that it looks like many wildlife pictures of deer or rabbits peeking through branches or grasses. This is great "tongue-in-cheek" photography. The extra space on top and to the right doesn't bother me because the focus is nicely soft. But the crop looks good too. You should give her a copy. |

It's really fun to play with Topaz adjustments and looks. The result is not always predictable. The background color is very complimentary to the leaf colors. The drop shadow and that electric red outline of the leaf take this way above the usual leaf shot. Just for giggles I flipped vertically. It was different, but not really better. Nice job. |

I think it is a little dark, and that green cord is distracting. But perfection is not what an image like this is about. This is just plain fun! Sorry. I couldn't help myself. |

Love it. The radial blur raises this way above a record shot of an automobile. Very good job on the masking. The front-facing 'pose' of the car is just right for that blur effect. This would be perfect on the wall in a man cave. |

Wow! Those wildfires out west are beyond my imagination! The repeating patterns of the pier supports, the people on the pier, The slight angle of the pier heading into the distance, and the soft texture of the sky make this an excellent photograph. |

Well, this picture is good. There is a soft glow on the ornament that gives it shape. A tip we got from an old friend for shooting close-ups: Focus about 1/3 of the way into the image. This technique will give you 30% of the focus in front of the subject and 60% of the focus behind the subject. The DOF will depend on the f/stop, of course, but the guideline holds for any f/stop. As it is, the branches embracing the ornament are in good focus. The background is softly focused. It looks a little noisy. I put it through Topaz AI Clear twice, then brightened it a bit with Levels. |

I rarely use filters like bas relief of plastic wrap; they often just ruin the image. But here is was OK. |

What a beautiful child! There is great meaning in this photograph because of the baby blanket crocheted by his great aunt. To my eye that perfect little face is framed all around by the softly focused blanket, clearly showing that he is safe, loved, and contented. Sorry, no photographic suggestions. I find this picture to be very emotional. |

My first reaction to this was confusion. It seems to be two separate images. Remember the film days when the processor would cut the film strip in the middle of a negative? My personal preference is for the horizontal version. I really like the colors and patterns. This definitely an image that is fun to play with. |

She is a lovely young lady and you have posed her well. The gentle lighting is perfect. As Cecilia said, the final color toning is the artist's choice. I might try other color palettes, but would probably come back to what you used. We photographers have a great advantage over painters. We can change an image to please the model/customer without having to start all over again. And we can still keep the version we like. |

As a fan of fantasy and science fiction, I love this image. All the deer need are horns to look like magical unicorns. There seems to be a slight blue cast and the scene seems flat in spite of the bright shafts of sunlight. But somehow that just adds to the enchantment. |
