In fact, there really was no interpretation. I just came around the bend and immediately saw a "cowboy". This happens a lot. There is a horse, a dog, and a bird in the marbled pattern of the floor tiles at our house. There used to be a giraffe in the dogwood tree, but, alas, the branches grew and the giraffe disappeared. |

What a wonderful experience that must have been. No common language or culture, but a shared moment of joy! Definitely color! B&W would have kind of merged all those different people. This was probably just a grab shot, but the composition is good and your timing impeccable. |

Sitting on what looks like the beginning of a medial strip is indeed silly. There are so many stories here. Why did the man in blue take off his shoes? What is the man on the right thinking - praying ruing a bad decision, just resting his eyes? And as Carole mentioned, taking this in context with today's news gives it a very different meaning than the original shot had. |

Happy children are priceless, and your boys are wonderful. The poses and expressions are perfect. One can almost guess what their little inside joke might be. They are very natural. Goos job. |

As to center of interest - music or piano keys - as a pianist my eye falls on the keys. I can only imagine playing this piano and listening to the beautiful tones it must produce. The keystoning of the portrait does not bother me. Painters often use unusual perspectives in their work. But straightening the painting does not hurt the entire image. Using the title page of the music would indeed make the image about the actual music than music in general. The window is well done. The whole image has a lovely painterly look. While the items under the portrait have meaning to you, compositionally, they don't quite work. This would be a beautiful photo to hang in a music room. |

Thank you all for your comments. I tend to fall in love with certain images even though they really don't work. This is one of them. With your suggestions, maybe I can make something out of this. |

Thank you all so much. I knew the sunflower background was wrong, but didn't know where to go. Here is another version of the same tulips. The tulips were separated using Topaz Remask. The original image was blurred. Then the in-focus selection was layered on top. The idea was to make the tulips glow. Is it any better? Or should I proceed on to the next project? |

In removing the signs, please don't remove the small cross on the yellow wall. It is an important part of the story. I like both crops (yours and Celia's), so no help there. But the bright colors are also part of the story. |

I agree with all of the above. But one little thing: you did a great job removing the extra leg in the back. It really is distracting. Nut there is still a little bit of bright color at the upper right thigh of the kicker. That is easy to correct by more-or-less painting with black using a very small brush. Love the expression on her face - very fierce for such a pretty girl. |

This is a perfect subject for B&W. I do like Bunny's crop. You have many possibilities here since it is close to home. A subject at the far end in flowing white garb. A person in dark clothing walking a white dog (the dog in the shadow). You can have great fun here. The time of day is perfect with the shadow precisely bisecting the walkway. |

I agree with reducing the texture on the boy. It works quite well on the rest of the image, though. Perhaps you could use a different texture on the boy - one with finer detail. The hand doesn't bother me. Small children often splay their fingers when exploring new things. And boys go through a box of bandaids a month. |
