I like this image because it is a 'real' abstract. The bamboo shade in the window adds a sketchy look to the reflection and turns the young man into a silhouette. The reflection could almost be a painting. I am conflicted about the lantern in the upper right. It could be removed, but that would have to be done perfectly. Perhaps toning down the brightness would work. I think this is a very well done image. It is hard to believe it is a grab shot. Good job. |

I think you did an excellent job of keeping your own reflection out of the picture - not always easy to do. This almost looks like a scene out of a window. Your exposure and color balance are very good. I would prefer not to have the out-of-focus foliage at the top of the mirror. That said, I understand that this is a near impossible request. You certainly couldn't prune the bush. If you had changed angle, the scene would be different. The small distortion caused by either the window behind you or the mirror in front give the image a look of fantasy - I can almost see fairies living there. |

I like this image for many different reasons. The diagonal line of the train, the motion blur, even the photographers lead the eye right to a vanishing point. Very nicely done. I think the black and white treatment with red as the only color adds even more impact. The reflections of the other photographers is perfect for this challenge. |

I am impressed that you were able to see the 'picture' in something you see every day. You must have checked this out over time to find the right lighting to make the door become a mirror. Or is the door really a mirror? I feel that question adds more interest to the image. |

I like your crop, as the rocks in the lower left corner add nothing to the image. Your exposure and composition are spot on. In spite of the bright greens and blues, I feel it is a calm and peaceful scene. I would like to see more of the reflection, but perhaps that isn't possible. If the pond is small, the reflection would be cropped by the near shore. I really like this image. |

I like the idea; you put a lot of thought into not only the composition but also the subject. I think you are very good with your cell phone. I rather agree with Gavin that the hands are distracting. I would like to see a version without the hands. The angle of the subject (computer screen) makes it look as though the screen is in a box. To me, this adds impact. I want to keep looking at it to figure out how it was taken. Very nice. |
