12 Oct 18 Comment The idea is good, but the moon does need to be bigger and the flag clearer. Take one shot exactly like the original, but focused and exposed for the flag. Take another shot exposed and focused for the moon (you could zoom in on it; the blue sky may be darker or lighter, but will have the same hue.) I did this example using AI Gigapixel to enlarge the moon. Copied the larger moon over the small moon. Used Viveza to brighten the flag. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Comment Very nice. I like Carole's cropping also. Did you take any more versions? This is slightly busy; perhaps concentrating on a group of 2 or 3 leaves would give a different result. Those three leaves at the bottom with the pale dots look interesting. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Comment Perfect exposure, perfect focus with depth of field emphasizing the mushroom and the organ grinder. You probably placed the organ grinder in front of the mushroom. The direction of the light is the same, and the out-of-focus grass in front of him would be way to difficult to fake. Once again, you show us your creativity. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Comment You had a balloon ride! Wow! The long shadows and the highlights on the tree tops add impact. I do agree on the cropping. You show a lot going on without making the image too busy. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply Thank you Barbara. Mother Nature really does know what she is doing. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply Thank you, Stephen. This image does lend itself well to B&W. We started our photographic adventures with our own darkroom and shot B&W exclusively. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply My grandson suggested doing something with a marble, but I was too busy to work on that. Then I remembered this picture. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply The Rebel had a built-in zoom, not interchangeable lenses. This shot was zoomed slightly, because another version shows more of the background. I took many versions before the cold got too much. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply It was very cold with an icy wind blowing over the bridge. With no tripod, the camera was rested on the railing, but the whole bridge vibrated when a car crossed over it. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Reply My quilting friend was thrilled to get a framed copy. Even though the camera was a point & shoot with single digit megapixels (not bad for back then, it looked fine printed as an 11x14. Oct 24th
12 Oct 18 Comment This is a fun image! OK, the grill is crooked. Otherwise a great job of masking. I see a subliminal message here since the Ford Edsel went the way of the Dodo bird. Oct 24th
