I, too, did not see the face at first. But that just added to the mysterious magic of the image. She looks like she lives in Middle Earth.

Very dynamic image. Boots as large as a building are surreal, and the addition of the Buz Sim filter works perfectly here. Buz Sim is one of my favorite Topaz filters. Since we read from left to right, the banjo leads nicely to the boots. If it was reversed, we would unconsciously stop looking when we get to the boots and miss the rest of the elements. |

Carole's cropping does help to emphasize the people. What fun this must be! Exposure and DOF are perfect. The fence adds a nice diagonal line. |

Very nice for one of those early digital cameras. The cropping is good. Thank you for the tip about the 'F' key. And the auto feature in Camera Raw. |
