The full glare was blinding. It was 4:00 PM and the windows are 180 degrees from the sun. Another version had slightly less glare than this one, but the railing cut the picture in half. This seemed the lesser of two evils. The person at the top is my husband, so you will understand why I never noticed the conflict between him and the booth. To paraphrase the old song, "I only have eyes for him." |

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and pictures were taken on film, my husband decided that we should standardize on ASA 400 film. We rarely use flash, shooting mostly 'available darkness' pictures. Also, at my advanced age, holding a camera steady is challenging. I use settings that allow a shutter speed of 1/100 or better. But you are right; I could have used a lower ISO. |

What an adorable kitten! Perfect separation from the background. I wouldn't change a thing. |

Great cityscape, Walter. The only thing I would do is crop from the left to eliminate that little fountain. But that's a minor change. |

It is a challenge to get perfect focus on a moving subject so far away, but you did it. Yes, the subject is centered; yes, the white cloud is very bright. But the subject is the plane, so those two things don't matter. Don't you love to break the rules? |

Perfect exposure. You got the flags billowing just right. I also agree about cropping out the green branches in the lower right corner. If you have the NIK filters, you could add a polarizer to darken the sky. It won't hurt the flags and will probably make their colors pop. |
