12 Mar 17 Comment Those big old tortoises are fascinating. The look so wise. Good exposure; the backlight helps separate him from the similarly colored background. What's a grab and go event? Mar 14th
12 Mar 17 Reply Oh, I like that, Gavin! Mar 10th
12 Mar 17 Reply I really wanted more blue in the sky, but was afraid of pushing it too hard. Mar 9th
12 Mar 17 Reply Thank you, Delores. Should I have removed the orphaned twigs on the upper left? I just noticed them now. Mar 9th
12 Mar 17 Comment OMG that looks like my computer! Nice interpretation of 'sleeping.' Nice exposure to get a good image of the bright monitor and the desktop. Did you add light to the desktop? You must be a very busy lady! Mar 9th
12 Mar 17 Comment Rehearsal pictures are not easy. There are too many things NOT under your control. Yes, the bright lights in the background are distracting, but they also help tell the story of a dancer who is so tired that she can fall asleep amid the excitement of rehearsal. The softening vignette is a good touch. I would have added more brightness and contrast to the girl, but that probably would have ruined the cocoon of softness that encloses her. You did it right. 12 Mar 17 Comment Nice job on the vignette. There are several ways to add a vignette. How did you do it? Nice selective sharpening. Mar 9th
12 Mar 17 Comment Your blue bunny seems to be laughing, perhaps dreaming of once again tricking Br'er Bear and Br'er Fox. Perfect exposure, beautiful soft background. He's a cutie. Mar 9th
12 Mar 17 Comment Duke looks like an awesome dog! Try cropping from the bottom to the zigzag quilt (and possibly from the top for balance), making the composition a horizontal. That should emphasize Duke more. As to the dark brown fur - I think you got it pretty good. Try something like the magic wand tool in Photo Shop or Topaz remask to separate Duke from the background, then use curves or levels to bring out more detail. As it is, this picture makes me want to reach out and stroke his rich dark fur. Mar 9th
