Wonderful treatment of the colors and tonality across the whole image. It appears to be very sharp and has an interesting "z" shape of the whites on the left side. To me, it seems that the visual weight may favor the left too much and I would consider cropping some of the right as I am not sure that the right adds much to the image. I assume that you were trying to show a sense of depth leading to the mountains but I think that they are weak elements |

I love it Elizabeth! I particularly like the volume of the flowers in the lower foreground as they seem to make a good base to anchor the image |

Your drone photography is getting more interesting. I like the various tonal changes that enhance the three dimentionality. Most noticeable along the hills where the tops are lighter and the sides of the hills are darker. The "s" curve of the river is very nice. To my eye, you might try to increase the saturation s it looks a little flat |

Nice job of understanding what you wanted to do with your edits. Knowing what your goal is is a great way to succeed. I like everything that you did but on my screen, the whole image looks somewhat underexposed and looks a little "muddy". You might try to increase the exposure by a stop or so and see what you think. |

Raymond, you live in a too beautiful area. I am jealous. Nice balance to the photo and the two boats in the foreground add an element of interest and keep the image from being too balanced |

Hi Larry, Thanks for responding to my group 33 shot. I came and looked at your shot for this month and reviewed the rest of your shots throughout the year and see similarities to what I do. You and I have both favored the soft silky appearance to the water but the "fiber optic" reference appears in both of our images this month and I only got there by accident since I did not have my neutral density filter to soften the water more. I like this fiber optic feel, especially for those in which the water is moving upward. I have also created a "pointilism" effect by doing in-camera multiple exposures with my Nikon D850 that gives a little different and interesting effect. I really like the effect on the water in your shot as well as the wonderful color. I may need to try the reflector technique. My eye suggests that your images visual weight is very heavily right-sided and again to my eye, the left side does not add to the dynamic feel that I get from the right and would consider cropping some of the left side |
