Hi Dan,
I was trying to determine what was making me uneasy about this image and I tried a couple of things. Ultimately, to my eye it was the fact that the structure in the foreground overlapped the structures in the water. I was wondering what would happen if you moved to the left or right and did the image that way so I Just did a quick clone out in Photoshop. I also added some saturation but desaturated the left side of the near structure and ran a gradient from right to left. I am kind of ambivalent about the changes except separating the two structures. What do you think, am I off base for what you were trying to do? |

Good Job Paul,
I like the various shades of gold and the fact that there are 2 combines in the image. I like the diagonal lines associated with the near combine but the horizontal lines (including the dust line) associated with the background combine. I think that the machine in the background give a feeling that a lot of work is being done at harvest time. as I view the image, I would like the inside of the cab of the front machine lightened some to see some more of the driver |

Hi Elizabeth,
Nice shot of a working boat showing the working end of the boat as well as the two fishermen. I liked that there was enough negative space around both of their heads to separate from the back ground. I think that brightening the boar and men slightly would help. I think that it should be a slight adjustment because the fog tends to create a naturally flat scene. |

Very nice job Larry. I liked that the brightest part of the image (the bright yellows) were in one of the power points of the rule of thirds, the complimentary blue and orange colors and the diagonal lines |
