19 Jan 22 Comment I liked the silhouetted trees framing the colorful sky. You mentioned this was your favorite lake. Would it have been possible to incorporate the lake and perhaps reflections of the colors on the water as your foreground? Maybe not, but I agree with John that something else might be needed. 19 Jan 22 Comment Great landscape picture showing the scale and rugged beauty of these giant rocks. If it were my picture, I would crop just a little bit of sky from the top. Jan 21st
19 Jan 22 Comment I have never seen a horse tricycle. I loved the horse and most of all the beautiful colors on the wall, Whimsical! Jan 21st
19 Jan 22 Comment The columns serve as a framing mechanism, inviting you to come in and inspect the building. The vertical lines of the massive columns are repeated in the building. The vertical lines are held together by the horizontal lines of the building. Shapes and lines throughout the building. Interesting building and great angle to emphasize the building's assets. The building seems to call for the monochrome treatment. Jan 21st
19 Jan 22 Comment New York City needed Central Park. Nature calms the spirit.

Lovely image. The bright color of the tree at the left of the picture and its reflection balance the other tree next to the Gapstow Bridge. The reflections take you through the picture. I can imagine that it would be a busy place. I wouldn't change a thing.

57 Jan 22 Comment Jessica, what a find. Before this iron was put away, I hope no one tried ironing with it! I loved all the textures and colors of the iron itself, but found the background a little too busy and somewhat distracting. Jan 23rd
57 Jan 22 Comment Natural portraits should be natural with imperfections and simple backgrounds that don't distract from the person. Sophia's portrait show her personality and is very natural. I would remove the yellow at her sides even though it is very light. My only suggestion is that not having seen Sophia in person, her eyes appear too bright. If that is the way they are, I would certainly leave them that way. She will treasure your picture in later years. Jan 23rd
57 Jan 22 Comment Andrew, I, too, admire your experimenting and creativity, using leading lines and reflections to create a very interesting image. I am not sure I understand where the mirrors were located, but kudos to you for creating it. Jan 23rd
57 Jan 22 Comment Your picture reminds me of something I just watched on photographing cityscapes -- a PSA webinar. Roland Shaenidze had a closeup of a building which he had converted into black and white showing lines. It was beautiful and might be considered an abstract.

I love your idea. I would not have thought of doing this. I not only like the lines, but the different widths of the lines. If this were my picture, I would try to get everything sharp, at least the plane that faces the lens. The blurry sections are distracting to me.
