Hi Marian,
I love the raindrops on your poppy and the poppy also has the shape of a goldfish... I like the color harmony, the angle in which you shot your picture, and the very sharp raindrops.
To my eyes, it appears that there was a very slight breeze that blew. At first, I thought a tripod might have helped, but I have changed my mind. I don't see that a tripod would have helped you. I need a tripod to take a sharp macro picture because my hands shake even when there is no wind or there is no camera movement. Increasing the shutter speed might have helped as well as the aperture. |

Hi Barbara,
What a beautiful image. My only suggestion would be to shorten the tall branch close to the center of the image to open the image more. Very tranquil and peaceful scene. |

Hi Norm,
You certainly achieved your goal. I have seen many pictures of arches, but have never seen one at this angle which is so revealing of the canyon below. The curve of the arch leads you to the scene below. I also think the color contrasts makes this a Wonderful picture. |

Hi Stan,
The first thing I noticed was the wonderful light in your picture, and how it led my eyes from the sand all around to the figures on top of the huge boulders. Great capture! |

Thank you for all the comments from you and Norm. I certainly will go the website you suggested. Yes, the Olympus is one of the few cameras that focus stacks in camera. I believe one of Cannon new cameras does it also. Unfortunately, I have a 5-year old Sony that does not do it. It still takes good images the old-fashioned way. I am now trying to learn how to do it using a focusing rail just for the fun of it and also to keep learning. |

Hi Harriet,
You did an excellent job to edit this picture. Everything is sharp. I would try to follow Norm's suggestion to open the shadows a bit on the right side of the face. I'm glad there are people like you who save such abused animals. |

I was also amused wondering if he is just waiting to feed the birds with his trays of food. Good capture where lines and his posture add to the story. |

I used F4 instead of F8 because I did not want the heavily textured wall to distract from the flower. |
