Thank you, Barbara. I agree that bush is distracting. I'll also try cropping it like you suggested to see how it will look. It is worth a try. |

Hi Harriet,
I have a miniature black poodle that I got at 8 weeks. I know what you mean by the lush hair. I have found it very challenging to take a picture of my Bailey because of the darkness of her coat and eyes. You did well by concentrating on his face. I agree with Barbara that making it a charcoal image suited Archie, and I might try this on Bailey. If possible, I would try to bring down the highlights on his nose. |

Hi Marian,
Welcome to our group. I like your leaning yellow tulip adorned with rain drops. The dark background makes it stand out even more. The addition to the picture was not noticeable. You did well. I think you succeeded in creating a Dutch master masterpiece. I would even get drenched to take such a good picture!

Hi Barbara,
The chair draws my eyes to the blue ball, then to the dog and then to your brother in law. The yard surrounding the main characters add interest to the picture. This is a picture that will be treasured by your family.

Hi Norm,
Its lovely that you were able to capture so much detail in this close-up of the columbine. The complimentary colors and simple background enhance the shape and beauty of this image. Well done! |

What a wonderful place to be married. The lush forest and clear stream surrounding the moment. You did well by capturing it all -- and handheld. |

Hi John,
I like the composition -- repetition of shapes, leading line to the bird, color harmony and the simple background. You not only captured the sharpness of the bird's feathers, but the movement which makes the picture even more interesting.
I find the two vertical bright streaks of light shining below the wood a little distracting. |

I like all the lines, shapes and repetition of your image and your choice to convert it to monochrome which usually shows more texture. I would suggest bringing the black point down a little more and increasing the contrast if you want to bring up even more of the texture. It would give it a more vintage look as Jessica suggested. |

I like the three cascading flowers as the focal point of the picture, especially the lines around their centers. You were able to capture just enough of the background to suggest their stems. Well done. In my monitor some of the petals appear a little soft around the edges. |

I did not read Cindy's comments before I decided what I was going to suggest and I feel good because I, too, suggested Cindy's crop. I hope there are enough pixels to print. I like the suggestion of the tear drop, and I am sure her parents loved the picture. |

I also like the colors and of this orchids. It is sharp where it needs to be in the center of the flower. I would have liked to have this orchid centered in the picture. It is a strong image and as such, would look good centered. |

As beautiful and as interesting as the donkey tails are, my eyes keep looking at the leading lines of the fountain above them. You could almost have two pictures here -- the geometrical lines of the fountain and the luscious looking donkey tails. Perhaps you may consider converting picture into monochrome balancing the image. |

I like the sharpness and texture of the flower. The raindrops add interest. White spots in the upper part of the picture are a little distracting. |
