Barbara, this pond appears so peaceful. I can see why you would want to photograph it. You can feel the slight breeze and see the small ripples on the surface of the water.
The leaves at the bottom of the image seem to intrude. I would suggest cropping from the bottom and leaving the clear image above.

I like the sharpness, colors, placement of the subject and your technical skill in capturing this lovely creature complemented by the beautiful flower. I would not change a thing. |

In the cropped version, I feel the power and strength of the falls. In the original version, I view the length but don't feel like I am there. In my opinion, the cropped version is better. |

Harriet, You have a good eye. The green reflections on the old glass and thick paint enhances Phil's portrait. I like everything about this picture except for the leaning perspective. I think Barbara's version improves the image. |

How interesting. Good composition to begin with. The filter declutters the image. Because I have not used this filter, are you able to select the colors applied? I like the image as presented. |

There is so much to see in this image. Such an interesting location. If you choose, you could have many other pictures from this picture, especially from the colorful graffiti. The leading line (rail) to the light at the end of the tunnel is clever.
The dark spot on top of the rail facing the viewer distracts. What is it? Could this be the side of the rail that is like a mirror? It does not appear that way on my monitor. |

I have seen this mushroom in my backyard. I do think it is very interesting with all the curves and indentations. You captured it in all its glory. The background enhances it. Good job. |

Colors and sharpness of these vegetables or ingredients are sharp but there is nothing holding them together. Someone suggested using tools such as cutting board or tray to hold some of these ingredients. Right now, it appears as if they were just placed on the counter. Another suggestion would be to show the finished product somewhere in the image, framed by the raw ingredients. |

Before I read your explanation of the shot, I thought this might be a high key picture. I do like the sharpness of the Skipper butterfly but as Cindy pointed out the softness of the cone flower is a little distracting. I like the border. It finishes it off.
I have only seen infrared in color. I look forward to seeing more of yours. |

Cindy, I like the composition as is. I understand what Bob is referring to; however, I feel that the grate actually enhances the mystery as to what might be locked inside. Also, if you crop some of it away, you would center the lock which would not be as interesting.
Did you see what was inside? |

I think your focus was on the bee and as such it appears very sharp with a lot of detail on the little hairs and on the wings. The color detail (little seeds) on the part of the sunflower which is in focus is so interesting. I wonder what lens you were using and the settings.
As Cindy and Andrew suggested, you should rotate the bee so that the blurred section of the sunflower would appear as intentional shallow depth of field choice. Bob also made some very suggestions. The only problem that I see is that your picture size will be limited by the pixels left after you crop. |

Thank you, Cindy. I do like what you did with my poppy. I will look for Kathleen Clemons. |
