Hi John, The cone is very sharp and is so interesting. I would leave the picture as is. In my opinion, the lighter background towards the bottom allows the dead petals to show more. |

Hi Norm, The design on this iris is so beautiful. I guess that is where the intricate silk fabric details originate. To my eyes, the replacement sky fits well with the image. I like all of the greenery except the triangular green leaf on the left upper corner. |

Hi Barbara,
The feeling of peacefulness is conveyed by your photo.I would crop a little at the left of the building, all of the sky and a little of the grass in front. I think you would still convey peacefulness but it would give more importance to the elements that contribute the peacefulness -- the trees and solitary building. |

Hi Carroll, I hope she was not asking you to not take her picture. Her expression is very intriguing. In my opinion, the settings on your camera are right on. The details of her face and even on top of her head are excellent. I, too, would darken the area behind her left ear. |

Hi Harriet, Dr. Doolittle's color is already black and white. I would convert the whole picture into black and white and I would straighten it a little to accentuate his tall neck. By doing this, I think my eyes would be more drawn to him rather than his surroundings. |

Gosh, I really want to know the story. Is the preacher marrying the couple? Somehow, I see an extra arm.
Back to the photo. It is a great picture among the beautiful greenery and impressive waterfall properly exposed. The three individuals by the bottom of the waterfall bring up all kinds of questions. The people were located at the crash point of one of the rule of thirds lines making sure we could not miss them. Even the hewn rocks resembling steps lead to the group.

Hi Bob, After looking at your most creative image, I clicked on your bio. Expected to see a scientist interested in photography. Was disappointed in not seeing anything. I am always amazed at what you come up with. Very interesting and beautiful. |

Mary, I like the repetition of the triangles pointing down to the inside of the pizza oven with the roaring fire. A lesser photographer like me would have taken the picture from the front having the inside and outside very symmetrical. You bring the eyes inside by using the angle from the side. It makes for a stronger picture. I need to study your post-processing and learn from it. |

Nelson, I have never seen a white butterfly before. This one is beautiful and so sharp. Yes, more space on top would be better. You may be able to add some canvas on the top in PS and clone more of the green background. The yellow and orange flowers do distract even though they are in the background. |

Great picture, Cindy. The pink of the flower contrasts beautifully with the butterfly. I agree with Jessica about the dark spots in your background. I would lighten those somewhat to even up the background little. Even though the butterfly is your main subject, I think the flower enhances it. I would crop a little of the stem and a little on the sides. |

Hi Jessica,
As attractive as the shapes of the lily pads are, I would crop some of them to give more importance to the small frog. I like the angle which you shot him. He looks like he is ready to swim on. I would darken the grasses somewhat to pull my eyes away from them to the frog.
