I think the colors are beautiful, no question about it; however, it is the lines and silhouettes which make the image special for me. |

I thought all owls were night creatures, but obviously, some of them are flying during daytime. A little soft but I would be proud to have captured the image. |

It does look like a milk monster! Loved it. |

Hi Stan,
I would suggest cropping the twigs on the right of your beautiful picture. You were so lucky to notice the two brave souls. I hope they were safe.
Beautiful picture, one I would hang on my wall.

Hi Harriet,
I agree with Barbara. You are so lucky to have such beautiful and interesting pets to photograph.
I like the brilliant colors and your crop. The title dits ahd picture. I would not change a thing. Good job! |

I, too, like the juxtaposition, shapes and color of the machines against the gravel. I agree with Barbara about the foliage behind the big machine.
To place even more emphasis on the machines, you might want to try some of the NIK filters especially the vintage film efex. |

Andrew, what an interesting image. I had never seen these. Googled it and learned a lot about it. In your image the electric charges appear sharp, and the color contrasts are appealing. |

Monochrome treatment with your fine framing was a good choice. I like the simplicity of your image. It would make a lovely greeting card. |

I hope you are feeling better after your accident.
I like the simplicity of your image. It is sharp where it needs to be. You show a mastery in creating frames and I like the reflection you created. Maybe the vignette is a little too dark. |

Cindy, I love the colors in your image. I, too, like rust, but my pictures don't show as many colors. My eyes go to the bolts above but then point to the inner part of the image. Would darkening the gauge a little more draw my attention there first? Kudos for seeing all the beautiful colors and an interesting composition. |

Mary, I liked that you converted the image to black & white. The color just leads your eye out of the important part of the frame. Your picture makes me wonder what he is thinking looking outside -- wishing he was back home free to wonder about and not in the enclosed area? The reflections also make it very clear that he is an enclosed area.
Maybe not a prize-winning image, but one that touches the viewer. |
