Beautiful image. You captured the serenity of the place, and an ancient manner of fishing in that part of the world. You placed yourself in the right place and focused on the fisherman and clicked just in time to capture the net and the reflection on the water. Great picture. |

I have not seen this Hummingbird Moth either although I have been told about it. It is quite beautiful. The light on the right wing captured its iridescence and reflected the colors of the flowers in front of it. There is a little movement shown on one of its wings, but I think that it shows that it is alive and this is not a pinned specimen. |

Amazing how you were able to get the moose just at the right moment stopping the action at 1/125 handheld. Very nice!
I agree with all of you that cropping would make the viewer focus on the moose especially on his head. Also a little cropping on the right side would help. |

You captured it beautifully against a natural background. The moth was probably in shock! I can imagine a gown made from this transparent fabric. |

The swirls and curves make this hive beautiful. You captured it so well with its inhabitants guarding the entrance. I like your crop. The sky is a little distracting. Can you darken it in Snapseed? Is snapseed an app? |

I like the sharpness that you achieved with your focus stacking especially because it sounds like you photographed them outside. You mentioned you were losing your light, but you made good use of it while you had it. I like the green background. It complements the color of the pods and does not distracts. I agree with you that deleting the section of stem of the pod in the back is necessary.
.
Did you consider photographing these pods indoors under controlled lighting? |

I like the angle and everything you did to make the fossil stand out more. As suggested a slight vignette would also help. Where did you find this specimen? |

The green moss and leaves make your frog stand out nicely. It is too bad that the rocks are out of focus and they are much larger than the frog. Cropping them out will leave very little left to your image. |

I like the texture, lines and colors of the old stone. The wooden piece and red background contrasts well with the curvy lines of the stone and makes the composition interesting. |

Beautiful image. Light on the top of the fern brings the eyes to your focal point which is very sharp. Good composition placing fern head on the crashing point of the rule of third and on the diagonal. Background complements the fern without distractions. I would remove the little piece of the fern at the bottom and side of the stem and perhaps consider cropping a little on the right side of the fern. |

I, too, took my flashes out over Labor Day, and referred to Scott Kelby's Flash Book for instructions. Sadly, my results were not as good as yours.
Your image has impact, and good composition. The black and white combination is dramatic. The power of the flash is a little too hot. |
