I really like your take. The slight angle of the wall makes it more interesting. The smudge does not bother me. In my opinion the monochromatic treatment directs my eyes to the image of the capitol. |

At first glance this arch seems to me as hands joined together in prayer. Loved it! |

I like that this is another view of Horseshoe Bend. The rocks on the left point to it as well as the dark clouds above. Even the circular "island" at the right contain the water and lead my eyes towards the back. Great light and depth of field. |

The symmetry is perfect the way it is. I understand Norm's suggestion but I first looked at the mountain perfectly framed by the beautiful window, then the flag caught my eye, down to the lake and then to the people. The poles added to the story but were not my main focus. I really liked this image. |

I like the title, colors and the orientation of the sunflower. I like that you are showing it as it is. We see many perfect flowers and not too many in their last stages. I would only suggest cropping a little from the bottom. |

I like the simplicity subdued background colors, and the humor. The inset lines at the left side of the picture point to the barber shop pole and down to the oval sign with the message. I, too, love it. |

I tried to submit the raw and b&w versions properly sized but they had a (remove picture) underneath. What is the proper way to do this? |

I found my raw image and B&W conversion. In between, I had cropped it, applied NIX Dynamic Pro in Color Effex and then converted it to B&W in PS. After looking at my B&W, I think I like the subdued color version best. I have now cropped it tighter from the right and the top, removing the distracting weeds growing around a tree. Thank you so much for your suggestions. |

I sent the original photo. I did turn it to a monochrome. Will send it next time I'm at my computer. |

I can tell you know a lot about the insects you photograph. You know the name of this dragonfly. I didn't know its name.
I really liked the soft background and the color. My only suggestion would be to get a little closer and wait until it spreads its wings. If you are patient and still, it will come back to the same spot even if you are there. Focus on the open wings to catch the beautiful lacework. |

Cindy, the detail is amazing. Most of the time you see the butterfly on a flower. I like your take and the butterfly's stance, corresponding to the title. It looks like it is thinking, where else am I going, what am I going to do next?

I like it the way it is. I would only lighten the top center a little to make it uniform. I like it in color, but you might want to try it in monochrome also. Great shot. |
