I have never seen a seagull from the front "with his mouth open." I have never been able to get that close. The dark gray background shows the bird well. I wondered why you shot it at 50 ISO. Does this give you more or less light?
I don't know much about birds in general and certainly not about seagulls. You did great to get a sharp image of his food. |

I love The shape and curved lines accentuating the softness, and the detail in the feathers all are done beautifully. Finally, your image tells a story. Well done, again, Cindy. |

I like that there is more than a hole in the middle. The lines created by the gate doors not meeting are interesting. as well as the lines made by the weathered paint and rusty finish. In my opinion it would make a good abstract. I like abstracts; however, the problem I have with abstracts is that unless you have a study with many images of such abstracts, the viewer is left wondering what they are seeing. I have watched famous photographers like Art Wolfe stop and take closeup or macro photos of images with beautiful designs and comment that they would make a good abstract. I like the designs on your gate and believe they would also make a very good abstract. |
