I like the soft light the candles make on the cake and on the crown. What was in the back of the cake? I think the dark silhouettes make me wonder. If it were all dark behind the cake, I would not question it. In my opinion, even with the silhouettes, this is a great picture.
If you had more ISO, you might have had more digital noise to get rid of and maybe the light would not have been as soft which makes it quite dreamy.
Sorry for late submission. Was out of town and just returned.

How creative and playful. I can tell you enjoy it and have fun with it. That is something most of us should try to do with our photography - especially me! |

I love this image--the prone position of the lily, the reflections at the bottom of the pool, the soft light caressing the petals, and the feeling it imparts. Just read that you submitted to competition and won second place. The first place must have been fantastic!
Sorry for the late submission. Was out of town until now.

I like the unusual shape and lines of the cactus, especially the middle part of the image. They resemble misshapen fingers. In my opinion, that is the most interesting part of the image with the varied greens and water drops adding drama. I wonder if there would be enough pixels to be able to crop the top lighter part of the cactus and the bottom part of the image with the small leaves. I think you would still recognize it as a cactus, but would that be an abstract instead? I have just returned home. Please forgive the late submission. |
