I like the idea you had -- the juxtaposition of her beautiful face through the filthy truck window. The problem is that I would not know she is gazing through the truck window. Perhaps if you showed a little part of the truck. the viewer would know and wonder why she was daydreaming or ... I think the subject calls for black and white treatment. |

I love it. The background, reflections on the bubble and colors. |

Your image is so modern and creative. The composition, angle of the straws, color and reflections made me look and study your photo closely to guess how you had done it. I like it. |

I loved everything about the boot and the stirrup. I found myself trying to guess whether the vertical reddish brown on the left of the boot, extending all the way down was the horse or part of the saddle. I have to admit I don't know much about horse riding. Anyway, it distracted me from the beautiful treatment of the leather of the boot and the metal of the stirrup. The brown on the right of the boot was fine.
Cindy, you take such beautiful photographs, I have to apologize for finding anything distracting with your photos. |

I loved the shape of the flower or bud, its angle, the color, and the water droplets. The highlight at the top of the photo are a bit distracting. |

Actually, I watched more than a couple of videos and read quite a bit of articles (most of them old)by Digital Photography School and Cambridge in Colour, but the video which seemed to be simpler was by David Johnston (4-4-2018). I gathered all the information learned and applied it my way. My big mistake after all this work was I should have placed Mr. Cicada in a more interesting composition. But I think if I need to do focus stacking again, I will think of my composition and placement first and then go through the focus stacking procedure. In all my perusing, I cam across a photographer who does beautiful work. His name is Don Komarechka.
Practical application I learned from this was to try and use focus stacking in my landscape images. |
