57 May 18 Reply I did use the spot removal tool and also the content aware tool before resorting to Simplify. I liked the color and texture of the flower; however, the dust and background did not cooperate. May 22nd
57 May 18 Reply I see that the vignette is intruding on the flower. Was trying to darken the green leaves. Thanks. May 22nd
57 May 18 Reply Thanks, I will. May 22nd
57 May 18 Comment This flower always seems to be moving so you did a fantastic job to get it all sharp. We have all been there with distracting background. Sometimes I have felt tempted to paint the walls behind the image!

I always like to know the settings. It helps my photography to see how you all achieve such success.

57 May 18 Comment I always thought the orchid petals should be facing the front and I see now how wrong I was. Actually, it makes the composition more interesting. The detail on the petals and the middle of each orchid is very sharp. What is the middle called?I also like the white frame.

I would use content-aware to eliminate the slight bruising on a couple of petals.

57 May 18 Comment This is a beautiful image and I like how you processed it. I would have cropped to make the hands the center of the image. But it is beautiful as it is, and I would be proud to say it was mine. May 21st
57 May 18 Comment I like the detail of the petals, pattern made by their edges and the beautiful different hues ranging from pinks and blues and even the dark spaces between the petals. You might consider cropping to eliminate the lower right corner that is not sharp. May 21st
57 May 18 Comment Nelson, What were your settings? I love the wavy ripples, and the red, white and blue of the flag reflected on the water. It does not bother me that the top of the drop is not tack sharp because of the liquid substance of water. However, My eyes keep wanting to complete the concentric circles made by the water drop.
