I also like the contrast of the rough sand with the soft petals and colors of the petals against the black and white of the sand. In the midst of this jumble of images and colors, my eyes still go to the whole flower positioned on the crash point of the rule of thirds. I agree with Cindy that a subtle vignette would help keep the viewer in the frame. |

I looked at this image for a long, long time -- as I am sure the mother will do now and in the days to come. It made me realize the power of a photo. Thank you for sharing it with us. |

Lovely image. It does not bother me that the top of the butterfly fades a little on the top and sides. I see it as an art piece and not representation. My eye focuses on the butterfly on the flower. I agree with Jessica. It is a good composition. |

I think both of you are right (Cindy and Jessica). Where does my eye focus -- on the left or right petal? And if so, is the subject sharp? Both of these comments point out that there is no good composition. I could not see the failures until you pointed them out. Thanks! |
