Your dragonflies are beautiful as always. I think a closer crop placing the dragonflies a little more off center would improve the picture. After looking at your picture closer, I did notice the pixelation that Cindy pointed out. I don't know what causes that. I wonder if that would show when you print the image. I like your title for the pic. |

I love both the butterfly and the flowers in the picture equally. Although I have been told you may have more than one focus interest, your flowers are so gorgeous and bright and your butterfly so beautiful and unique that they deserve their own place in the limelight. If you select your butterfly and place it in a blurred darker background, you might be able to achieve this. It would be hard for me to do this, but I think this would make a beautiful picture. |

I think it is perfect where it is. You don't have to use the rule of thirds on everything -- experts tell me. And your cookie has made me hungry. The detail is perfect -- even the texture on the napkin beneath the cookie shows well. I like the diagonal lines of the table -- they serve as leading lines to the plate and cookie and the vase at one corner serves to stop your eyes from going out of the picture and brings it back to the plate.
If you were to shoot this again, you might try to get the very front of the plate and napkin sharp leading you to the cookie. |

In my opinion, this flower makes me happy and it makes me think of a bright spring day. The flower is sharp, the tight crop focuses on the flower, and the background is nicely blurred. The detail is amazing and I like the diagonal thrust and bright colors. Many times HDR comes out looking somewhat unreal but this does not -- especially with this purple iris.
If I just felt I had to fix something, I would darken a little the areas that were white. However,I would be happy to leave it as it is. |

I like the curve, detail, and how you were able to isolate the fern frond from the background. I thinkthe simplicity draws you in to examine each leaf starting with the sharp round tight (bud)? down to the bottom of the stem. The lower leaves on the stem are not as sharp as the top which may indicate a slight breeze which in my opinion makes it more real and artistic. |
