Thank you all for your nice comments. I have been so attentive to your comments that I just noticed my typo on how I did it. The ?? word should be to. The 70 to 200 mm lens.
Do any of you know when is the best time to photograph water lilies? My light was too harsh, I thought. If I go too early or in the evening, the lilies are not open and I want to try it again in a better light.

What a wonderful picture. The background, the colorful wings, the position of the dragonflies, and with the shutter speed at 2000, you were able to freeze the moment. Congratulations! |

I believe this is a sharp and colorful closeup of the turkey vulture's head and eye. I think you may want to crop a little from the bottom which would eliminate the out-of-focus portion and at the same time bring the bird's eye a little lower in the picture -- closer to the crash site of the rule of thirds. |

I think the beauty of this color palette, texture, technique and composition makes it a high impact image. In my opinion, you could even make a wonderful abstract by cropping below the handle. Two pictures in one. |

I have never seen an Allium plant, much less a bud. In my opinion, it makes a lovely image especially in the moment that you took the shot, as it split open. I think the placement of the image in the middle works well, and the blurred soft background makes the bud stand out even more. To my eyes, the picture is balanced and there is color harmony with shots of purple among a sea of greens.
I believe the top of the bud appears blown out with little detail.
