I wish we had a Conservatory! My specimens are imperfect.
To me, orchids are hard to photograph because the petals don't always face in the same direction. Your four blooms almost did! I think the detail and color on the petals are beautiful and without a tripod. The background is nice.
I, too, find the halos distracting. I don't know because I haven't tested it, but I think the halos mentioned are caused either by over-sharpening or by using to much clarity to sharpen. I heard this in a YouTube by Morganti (sp?), but I am not sure this is right. |

I did not know this. This is amazing. Must try it sometime.
Thanks. |

Fantastic. I applaud your ingenuity and perseverance. It sounds like it was very hard to get all the drops to reflect the flower. I also think that the diagonal stem makes the image more interesting. I think the background colors support the beauty of the flower, and makes the drops stand out more.
I agree that the background is a little noisy. However, you may be able to reduce the noise by using Nik or Topaz.

This lotus flower is perfect. The center is so sharp as well as the fragile petals. Colors are gorgeous. I like the little bit of green on the right side of the image.
I would remove the small green straight lines on the left. They are an unnecessary distraction. Beautiful image. |

I love the beautiful array of pale and soft colors all contained in a circular transparent jar. Your choice of cropping, to my eyes, is perfect. I like the blue brush fibers sticking through.
I am going to gather all my pencils and my neighbor's pencils and try to come up with something like this. I bet it will be very hard.
By merging the images, I assume you bracketed them -- you did not do focus stacking. Please clarify. |

I love the colors, and the diversity of shapes and patterns. I, too, think the small white flowers are somewhat distracting. |
