Oh, my gosh! How lovely. It could be in a Disney movie. How did you get the color in the snail? I would crop a little from the top, not much. |

This beautiful photo makes me feel romantic. The curvy lines of the foreground leaf and the calla lily emphasize it. You were even able to bring out the detail in the white of the lily which I know is very hard to do. How did you darken the background? Did you burn it or use another method? The subtlety adds to the mysterious feeling.
I wouldn't change a thing. |

I forgot to tell you that your playful picture made me happy just by looking at it. |

I loved this picture. The shape, the texture and even the background -- all work together. You expect to see sharpness in the snail's shell, but even the soft body and antennas are sharp. |

Your treatment of this photo has encouraged me to try Topaz. I love the texture, color and angle of the colored pencils. Would the partial pencil on the right look better if it was a different color? |

I like the water drops, background and the color of the rose. I know it is me, but I would have liked to see a rose without the small bruisings. Otherwise, the rose is perfect and the photo works well. |

I tried to eliminate the noise in Lightroom and even tried NIK Define. I think the noise was caused by the F22 setting and it was a cloudy day. If I raised the shutter speed to stop the action, the noise would have been worse, I think.
Oh, well, I need to think of my background before I take the picture. Golly, there is so much to think about. |

Thank you for the suggestion. I have never used the burn tool. Will try it just to learn. In the future, it might be better if I choose a another spot to take this photo.

There is no doubt what you were emphasizing which makes the photo so successful. I like the dreamy simplicity of your background. The left corner could be darkened a little bit but I would be very proud if my photo looked that good. |
