As the new person on the block, I am thankful for your reviews. I don't have anyone to review my photos. |

Cindy,
Talk about crooked horizons, I did not notice the dots. In fact, after all of you pointed it out, I wondered if it wasn't sensor spots. Thankfully, they were not, the dots come from the tip of the stamens?? that flake off. I tried taking more photos with the same group of flowers (now old) and boy they were all over. Thank you for noticing. |

I, too, love the softness of the background and the placement of the flower. If I were to do anything with this picture, I would crop just a little of the negative space and clone out the light half bad on the right like Cindy said. Otherwise, your picture imparts a beautiful, romantic feeling and not too many photos can do that. |

The diagonal thrust of the flower and the brilliant colors of both the frog and flower sharply delineated against the black background make this photo spectacular. I liked the way you darkened the background where you can almost see some of the green behind it -- making it more realistic, but not cluttered. How did you get the frog to hold still and pose?

The textures, colors, and leading lines are perfect. The vertical or portrait orientation is unexpected, and that is part of what makes this a great capture. I will be looking at hoses more carefully in the future. |

Soft and perky! Those were my immediate thoughts. The petals turning back as if to say "You all come on over!" My personal thought about the orientation shown by Cindy was that I found myself looking for the stem on the right side of the picture to go up to the bloom. Even though we do read from left to right, I think the stem at the left leads the viewer up to the petals and across. This is my personal opinion. The background is soft and in my opinion matches the subject. I wish I had taken this picture. |
