It amazes me that you get these shots with a cell phone. I need to practice more with mine.
I like the contrast between the flower and background a lot. I see a little bit of "stuff" in the background that is distracting to me. I might have tried to clean up the edges and background a little. Otherwise a great shot. |

Like Robert says, I didn't get it right away, until I read your title, then it all made sense to me. If your club is like ours, the title isn't read until after the judging so the subtle meaning is often lost. |

Thanks. I set the shoot mode to continous high, i'm not lucky or good enough to rely on the timing of a single shot. I manually set the shutter at 1000 to freeze the action, F2.8 to get the bokken (the background is rather distracting from any angle that I could shoot from) and let the Auto ISO deal with the changing light. |
