I wish I could shoot flowers this well. Like the others, I really like the lighting. It makes this photo what it is. I wish I could make lighting like that. Again, like the others, a couple of spots are washed out. I pulled the highlights all of the way down in LR, and it really made a nice difference.
Well done. |

Thanks Judy. I've struggled with the foreground. Trying to decide to lighten/darken the mountains, or leave it. I like the idea of toning down the lights. |

Robert,
Thanks. I've not mastered masking to a level that I could have made a clean picture. I shot some pics before complete darkness with the idea of trying the masking as you suggest, but when it was time to work the picture, I didn't feel that I could make it look good. Maybe I'll go back and practice.
I've always wandered about the star movement being an issue as well. However, whatever magic that LR and PS are doing in their process, I've never seen an issue. The only issue I had, was that each of the three programs that I tried to merge with, PS, LR, and ICE all gave me an image that looked like it had been shot with a fisheye lens. I finally learned how to fix that in PS, but I don't know why I was getting the fisheye effect. |

Judy, when you say "photographically cut off the tops". Are you saying use a PS healing brush to take the tops off the trees? |
