I am late to the party on my comments, but this is an excellent nature photography image. You've got all of the elements, i.e. a sharp image nicely composed, natural surroundings, and wonderful interaction between the birds.
If you'd like to view examples of fine art nature photography I suggest you look up Lisa Langell's work. I think you will be able to see the difference. Although this isn't fine art to me it's still a great nature image. I hope you do well in the competition. |

Adorable is a good word for these images. You did a very good job of transforming these photos from standard family snapshots to little works of art. I don't mind the high-key background on your little sunflower. Or maybe try just a solid light blue to harmonize with the yellow. I would personally stay away from a texture though, to keep the "baby" softness of the image. I'm sure your family will love these. |

Your addition of the sky background helps add interest to your image. I agree with Georgianne that this image benefited from her suggested edits. My personal preference is to try and balance some softness with details with the natural textures in flowers, which can be tricky at times. I also think the buds cut off on the right pull my eye out of the frame. I might remove them to see if it helps balance the composition a bit more. Nice surprise find in PA, LOL.

What a very unique find. You've made an interesting abstract image to me. Without your explanation I have no idea what this is. It seems to be something from nature due to the color tones and the stem-like quality of the seaweed, but otherwise it's just an interesting arrangements of shapes to me. I also prefer the rotated image. |

Carol, this is a beautiful image. The color palette is very pleasing to my eye. You've captured movement in the way you've arranged the sea holly and I can feel and see the dance. Your vision was well composed and executed. |

Mary, this image is very powerful. There is nothing to be said about improvements as it is a very personal and compelling statement. Maybe just a thin stroke around the edges so it would stand out when viewed on a dark background.
Bravo to you for seeing this composition and it is so good that you are back with us. |
