Thanks for your comments Connie! It definitely is a personal preference on how much of an image is out of focus. |

I was going for a softer feel Linda, but I do struggle with whether I've gone too far, LOL. Thanks for your feedback. |

Very nice image Linda. I like the lighting across the stairs and how the lines draw you into the background. You've done a nice job of pulling out colors in the sky and flipping the orientation was an improvement as well.
A couple of things that are a bit distracting are how the lights at the farthest end blend together so much. Not sure if you can do anything about that in post, but maybe a slightly different angle when shooting may have helped that. Also, the "ghostly" figures at the top left. I know with long exposure if people are moving fast enough they may totally disappear. These people were moving in a way that it almost seems like a double exposure. The lady in yellow sitting on the steps also shows movement. Unless this was something you find interesting and want to keep, you may want to consider removing them. When viewing this as a small image, it's not as noticeable; but viewing larger it was distracting to me.

Beautiful, soft flower image Michael. Just enough detail in the flower without making it too harsh. I love the colors and the post-processing choices. The amount of light on this image seems spot on. Very nice. |

I like the B & W version of this image very much. It appears you have captured a spirit floating through a room which makes the halo around this lady seem appropriate if that was the case. It also clearly shows the edges of the cape, which, in my opinion, helps with the ghostly feel of this image.
Very interesting and unique! |

Hi Connie! This is a cute and simple still life using a unique figurine. I like that you kept this light with the addition of the white umbrella and white background and fabric base.
Although it appears the figurine is very thin, which may have added to it's appeal, the crop also being narrow makes me feel as if the image is distorted. I popped this into Lightroom and went into the Transform section and adjusted the horizontal slider to widen the figurine a bit. I also reduced the white point and saturation on the umbrella so it wouldn't stand out as much in the image. I've attached the edited image for visual feedback. Food for thought! |

Hi Jodi! Congrats on the showcase image!
This is a lovely capture of a beautiful flower. I like how soft the petals appear in this photo, and think if you just reduced the highlights a bit and maybe the white points you could retain the softness and still have a bit of "glow".
I also think if you added a little more room to the left side it would balance the composition a bit better. |

Love this image Carol. The composition is really nice and the texture and color palette of the background works well in this image. I think all of your post-processing decisions made this a great image to look at. |
