77 Mar 23 Comment Great subject matter and composition Linda. Like the others, I find there is something really appealing about rust and decay. Also like the others, there is a lot going on, so maybe darkening and blurring the background would highlight and bring out the truck. And/or adding a dark vignette to help focus on the primary subject? I've added some visual feedback as food for thought. Just some ideas. I took this into Lightroom and brushed in a mask on just the background. Then I reduced the clarity and exposure, increased the shadows, and added a dark vignette around the edges. I also decreased the highlights a little. Mar 18th
77 Mar 23 Comment Michael, I think you did capture the feel of an "old masters" style. The lighting and composition of the lemons and platter at an angle works very well. I'm basically agreeing with what Connie said, LOL. I also feel adding a tad more darkness to the background might add something. I took this into Lightroom and masked just the wall, increased the texture and decreased the exposure, then added a slight dark vignette around the edges of the image. I didn't want to lose the detail and great shadows of the platter, nor the excellent lighting on the lemons, so left those alone. So maybe just changing the background and edges a bit would make a positive difference. Food for thought! Mar 18th
77 Mar 23 Comment This was a very nice capture Mary. I like all of the different textures present and the angle of the building framed by the rocks below and to the right and left. The sky was very dramatic as well.

Suggestions for possible improvement, I added some visual feedback. Using Lightroom, I masked the building and increased the texture and clarity to make it pop a bit more. I also masked the foreground at the very bottom and slightly darkened it, then masked the rocks in front of the building and increased the texture there as well. The goal was to add more dimension to the image. It may be more effective working with the raw image, however I think this can give you an idea. I hope you find this helpful.

77 Mar 23 Comment Congratulations on being chosen for the Members Showcase! What a wonderful image you displayed there. And this is a very sweet photo as well. I really like the composition with the girls framed by the tree. Your post processing choices gives this a light and airy feel. I would suggest toning down the highlights just a tad as the background behind the leaves seems a little bright. Overall, this is a wonderful keepsake for the family. Mar 18th
