What a beautiful, peaceful image Linda. The composition is spot on to me, with this lovely little lady having room to run into the frame on the right. Your timing captured a great flip of her ponytail as she is moving through the flowers. The colors are just wonderful as well. Everything about this makes me smile.

This is an image that really makes you think. I feel like I'm looking at a room that is up in the clouds. I love the colors as well. I wonder if taking out the light fixture would add or detract from this abstract image? I'm torn about that.
Really nice observation of the reflections and capturing this hand held. |

Thanks for your feedback Michael. I am SO ready to retire and spend more time with my hobbies. But no more elevator at my new apartment, LOL. I'll need to look for other things to spark my imagination! |

Another WOW moment with this creative option. One little elevator button can really take us on a ride, LOL.
Thanks for showing us a different view! |

Well WOW to you too! I love this completely different take on this image. Abstracts just really free your mind, and you showed that through this edit.
Thanks for playing! |

This was a very nice tree to capture in an interesting area. Great find. I like how some of the smaller rocks add a leading line to the tree. Your post processing also brought out the color of the bark and leaves.
I do feel the foreground is a bit busy and the out of focus boulder at the bottom doesn't add to the image. As an example edit, I did some cloning across the out of focus area and pulled in different parts of the foreground to clean it up a little. I also cropped a bit off the bottom and a little from the right side as well, hoping to bring a bit more focus to the tree. I also slightly desaturated the blue of the sky.
Again, just an example of how you could continue to play with this photo if you wanted to. I also like Witta's suggestion that a little bit of a different angle might be nice. Something to consider for a future outing! |

I have to say I prefer the look of the texture on original 2. Not necessarily the color, but the "feel" of the texture. I'm not sure all of the radiating lines in the final image, enhance the flower that well. With all of the curvy petals I personally feel all of the straight lines don't really complement the flower. Plus, I don't know that you had to add to the stem. If the focus is the flower, I'm not sure adding length to the stem helped the composition.
I've attached an example of an edit with a texture that has more movement to it and that included colors that picked up on the natural colors of the stem and the purple petals. I LOVE the original color of the Iris, so left that as is. I cropped in a little from the left. Using a rule of thirds grid, I lined up the stem with the vertical line you'd see in the left third. I feel that accentuated the far right petal flourishing into the right third of the frame.
This isn't the be all, end all for editing your image, LOL. But you captured a really beautiful, curvy flower so well, I feel the background needs to have some movement to it too. |

I really like this concept and composition Michael. I like how the Koi slightly overlap and separate into a "V" shape. The conversion to black and white enhances the ghostly effect of the image as well. I'm torn about whether I need to see more detail in the other fish face, as ghosts don't necessarily have a lot of detail, do they, LOL?
Overall, I really like what you've done with this image. |
