OH! I really like the difference that made. It does make the "subject" stand out much better. Great suggestion! |

Thanks for your comments and suggestions Witta! On my screen the tops of many of the bolts and frame of the door/window are now pink. I don't feel like that color suits the industrial image that well.
I like your suggestion to put more emphasis on those areas however, and I will play with that some more. |

Wow, changing the skin tones really made this image pop in my opinion. Although I liked it originally, these edits made a striking difference. |

Hi Linda! So glad to have you here.
I really like your composition. The amount of branches and leaves and their shape circling the moon are really attractive to me. I like how you captured the sparkle of light bouncing off the edges of the leaves and inside of some of the branches.
I personally find the lack of detail in the moon for this particular image rather appealing. I feel like it allows me to focus on the silhouette of the curved branches and leaves and adds a little bit of mystery. Like the branches are dancing across the moonlight and are more the subject of this story than the moon itself. |

This is a beautiful image. I wouldn't change I thing. The way you brightened up the light on the rocks and roots going into the water really added to this photo. And to me, the color tones suit the "misty morning" quite well.
Just lovely. |

How lucky were you to be here when this lady in a fancy dress decided to go wading! This is a great image, and I like your editing choices.
I agree with Georgianne that the bridge, like a hat on her head, would be one thing I would take out. However, I also like Georgianne's edits. They do add more depth to the scene. |

Your edits did a nice job of bringing out the warm glow of these beautiful leaves. I like the composition of the branch leading us into the frame from the left. I feel the bark of the tree is a great backdrop for this shot as it makes you feel as if you are taking a walk through some shady woods and you've stumbled upon a branch struck by a ray of sunlight that was able to break through.
Very nice, simple fall image in my opinion. |

I really like what you've done with this image. I think the color tone suits it very well. You managed to get the glow from the moon to even reflect off of the bark of the tree and rocks in a way that really adds to this photo. It seems peaceful, yet eerie, and realistic while being a little unearthly.
I really enjoy looking at this picture. Very well done in my eyes. |

I enjoy the way you completely transformed this image through your editing choices. To me, this looks like a drawing rather than a photo.
I'm torn about whether the high key around the very edges might be a tad too bright. I really appreciate how the darker lines fade away into the white, but also crave just a little bit more detail in the wood fence and chute where the water is pouring out into the wheel. I do like how the fading of the background is curved, mimicking the shape of the wheel.
I find it very appealing. |

Thanks so much for your comments Georgianne! I already had in my mind that this was the photo I was going to work on, but got derailed for a couple of days with the unexpected surgery! Thankfully they could do laparoscopic, which meant only one overnight in the hospital then home the next day. Two weeks of no driving and "being careful" and I'm supposed to be back to a normal routine!
The National Museum of Transportation is in a suburb of St. Louis, Mo., where I live. It's one of my favorite places to photograph. I just noticed I described it as "international", LOL. It's "national". https://tnmot.org/
