Oh, and Carol - I did send you my photo yesterday, so hopefully you can get it up so that I don't delay everyone's comments! |

Spider webs can be so beautiful when the light is just right and you are able to capture texture as well as pattern. For me, there are parts of the image where you can really get the sense of the web, and other areas where it disappears, not in a way that adds to the overall composition. If the web is your central subject, I personally would try to have less of the cactus details in focus. But that's just my personal preference. A less busy background might really draw the eye to the web better as well. But your vision of what you wanted to capture may be different than mine! I have yet to be successful at spider web photos even though I've tried, so good effort! |

I like this image a lot Bob! The composition, how you've put this on a light table; great idea! I think you did a really good job with all the work you put into this image. Nice! |

I don't think I could add anything different from what Nadia said about this image. I love flowers and love how you captured this Amaryllis. I feel as if I could reach out and touch it. Really great image! |

I'm happy I inspired you Nadia! I do enjoy finding the right subject matter then trying to overcome the challenges of getting my shot in this kind of environment. I really like the composition and lighting on this Jaguar. I think capturing the medallion wrapping around the tip of the hood is well done. I like all of the detail in the reflections as well. There are three highlights in your photo that are catching my eye however, which I would either tone down or try to clone out. The bright circle right on the edge of the medallion, and the two in the top left corner. Also, I noted some flare at the bottom left and the black/dark reflection going from the left into the reflection of the Jaguar. I wonder if you could have cloned those out as well so as not to pull the focus away from the Jaguar. Nice job Nadia! |

Lots of nice detail and color in your photo Bill. I like how his/her antenna are out of focus, but eyes, face, and body are sharp. I agree with Nadia that I'd like to see a little more of the flower under the feet. Good capture! |

I like that you used a colorful bowl to capture this drop. I've played with drop photography in the past and it was great fun! Along with the colors, I enjoy the sense of motion in this photo as well. Your low shutter speed definitely contributed to that. I like this as an abstract image. |
