60 Jan 18 Comment I took the liberty of trying a little different crop on this. I really liked that your focus was obviously on the anthers of the stamen, and since they were floating I wanted to pull them more into the picture. I like the color contrast as well and thought this just made them stand out a bit more. Great concept.

60 Jan 18 Comment I too, love the colors of this rose. I like how the focus gradually fades from front to back. However I think I would like it even more if the very front edge (folded forward) was more clearly in focus. The edges of the petals behind it are more clear than the front one before everything starts fading. So that throws my eye off a bit. But beautiful subject matter and composition. Jan 29th

60 Jan 18 Reply Thanks Lou! It was a personal decision on how this was centered to try and capture all the curving petals that attracted me to this flower. I appreciate the feedback, and I tried several possible crops, but this one won me over. Jan 29th
60 Jan 18 Reply Thank you so much for the kind comments. I think what really appealed to me as well were the curves and the different tones from the way that the light fell on this beauty. I felt really lucky to find this at the right time during the period it was in bloom. Jan 29th
