Thanks Bill. I do like to photograph whatever catches my eye, so I appreciate that you also appreciate something a little different. |

Great suggestion about adding the white border Ginger! Thank you very much for your detailed comments. I love it when someone else deconstructs my images so that the things I might have done intuitively have more concrete constructs around them. I really appreciate it!
Here's an example with a white border. |

I really like the pattern and texture you were able to capture with this overhead angle. Nice job! |

I love the textures in this shot. I agree with Carol's comment about the variations in color being very appealing. The white streak in the top right makes me want to either see more of it or none of it, as it does tend to pull my eye to that corner. The same applies to the nut, or whatever the "bump" is. Because it's so close to the bottom corner it does seem to want to pull my eye out of the photo, so placing it differently may help with that. |

Wow, that eye! I really like how you have the eye so clearly the point of focus with the great pattern. You can really see the texture of the snake's skin as well. Amazing that this was shot through glass. Great angle to get all the detail that you did and have the nice graduated color of the background that compliments the color of the snake. Great photo! |
