Hi Gary - You have certainly gone to a great deal of trouble in post-processing the image ... the description of which was read with much interest.
The image looks bold giving emphasis on the trunk and foliage. I particularly like the outline of branches plus highlights on them shooting in kind of one direction.
I think it should do well in PSA exhibitions. |

Hi Emil - I agree with Gary's comments in terms of adding a human element and perhaps give the image a hint of warm tone. |

Thanks Gary and Jack for your valuable comments. I purposely included the whole of the stump rather than concentrate just on a segment. What impressed me was the shape of the stump in relation to the placement tea kettles ... hence the inclusion!! Also noted the overpowering of the background.
How about the alternative crop or perhaps a different title! |

Fabulous portrait, Melanie. IR really suits this subject and so does the crop. I also like the expression and the softness of the face. Background rendered just as well. 10/10 |

Hi Jack - Its a lovely image coupled with your crop. Even though you say looks somewhat postcard-y, its full of impact by way of IR rendition ... and I love it. Well done! |
