Greetings Melanie
What a lovely scene portraying the village architecture and foliage. Had the light been hitting across the foliage it would have resulted in an even better picture. By the same token I must also add that owing to the time limitations, it's not always possible to wait for the right light to take such a complex shot.
Congratulations on trying out the IRHDR. I should get down to trying out this technique some day!!

Hi Jack
A splendid shot perfectly suited for IR photography. Lighting and post processing spot on. The shaft of light coming down the hill adds to the depth. Love the scene. |

Hello Antje
I'm double minded about your picture which probably is not as strong as the ones you've submitted previously. I was wondering if you'd consider converting the pink foliage into mono to create an IR effect!!

Hi Ernie
I like the play of light on rolling hills + the foreground. In my view they help create a dramatic effect. Row of clouds give an added depth. Full marks!
The above comments were written prior to reading Gary's comments. I too like his approach, composition and overall effect creating another dramatic picture! |

Greetings Gary.
Thanks for sharing this awesome image from the IR film days which brought back lots of memories ... frustration or otherwise!!!
Both the title and your approach is most appropriate. Everything is going for this image and I like it very much.
Surprising how far have we come since the advent of IR Digital camera/photography! |
