66 Apr 18 Reply Thanks Ernie for your suggestion and comments. I'll at some stage go at darkening the brickwork & lightening the background trees to see if the image looks better! Apr 27th
66 Apr 18 Comment Hi Gary
Thank you for your comments and suggestion on my image.
Being a Historic Reserve, one could be forbidden to carry a ladder to look over the fence to take a picture or two. So its not possible to fulfill my dream!!!

66 Apr 18 Comment Hi Melanie
Your feedback greatly appreciated.
I did try using a different viewpoint, but the image lacked the 3-D quality. For this reason I had to include the trunk merely to get a bit of depth!

66 Apr 18 Reply Thanks Antje, for your comments and for taking care of the spot which I totally missed out! Apr 10th
66 Apr 18 Comment Gary - I love the play of clouds the way you've depicted. My only suggestion would be to extend the canvas at the bottom (just a touch) to balance the composition. A lovely scene nonetheless!!

66 Apr 18 Comment Melanie - You've captured the true essence of the place with everything going for this image. Having said that, my only worry is the pole being too close to the cyclist ... not so much the power lines. Then again the circumstances are such that you have to grab the shot no matter what!! 66 Apr 18 Comment A superb example of the ferns contrasting against the trees. Post-processing spot on. Composition just as strong. Love it! Apr 9th
66 Apr 18 Comment Beautifully depicted Ernie, and I like the tight composition.
The tree with the white foliage sitting on top of the cliff is a bonus. I don't mind the few clouds on the bottom left as they help balance the composition.

66 Apr 18 Comment Jack - The composition + clouds look fine. Perhaps it needs some detail in the vine.
With this in mind I took the image in CS6 and adjusted Levels and Contrast. Then opened the image in Selective Color and played with Black Slider under Whites to add some tone in the white foliage. Also cloned two posts in the distance.
Image attached to see what you think!

66 Apr 18 Comment Thanks for your comments, Jack. It was a day trip and as such, didn't get to try a shot at night. Perhaps another time!! Apr 9th
