Charles, I too like the b&w conversion. Wonderful shot of the singer, and his son as both a musical and physical background. I would either reduce the size of the white vignette, or else eliminate the vignette and crop out the bottom of the image to just below John Paul's guitar. The two musicians are stars without the vignette lighting to showcase them. |

Wow! The sky over the monastery is quite amazing, enhanced by your choice of a long exposure. And the rest of the scene is enhanced by your choice to position yourself in a place where the streetlights from a nearby parking area could provide the perfect side lighting. I would crop off a little of the right side to keep the image interesting to look at. If possible, in coming months I hope you will also submit the original image. |

The early morning lighting is perfect for this image, providing excellent lighting for the sky, ship, and opera house, and for the reflections on the water - well worth your early rising. I would prefer to see everything to the right of the opera house (and the few distant buildings) cropped out, as well as some of the blank sky. |

Beautiful image. The photo says to me that the woman is strong, brave, and fearless. Both the woman and the sword on fire are sharp and well processed. I would prefer a vertical image with the tree on the right removed. I find it distracting from the story you are telling. And I am not sure what the blurry white "thing" is, between her knees, but I would remove that also or else un-blur it. |

Terrific image of the front of the car. Well cropped to show just what is of interest. Background treatment perfect - since it's only the front part of the car, you don't need to hide what's behind it - and blurred and lightened enough to not interfere. Right decision on color - makes the subject pop. Great job. I generally have a tough time doing this - and you did it. |
