How lucky you were to come upon this nest. Wonderful capture.
I too prefer the colors and details in the original chicks, as well as the colors in the nest. The nest seems awfully dark to me, with the amount of light on the chicks. And you've lost details in the darkness. |

Terry, I too loved the Wabi Sabi webinar, but you want ahead and used it. Beautiful result. I love the muted palette and the pleasing composition.
I think I would have had the vase over to the left of the image a bit, rather than a little to the right, and let the "weeds" on the bottom right have more breathing room, making the entire still life more balanced.
Having seen the original and knowing you removed the shadows, it made the remaining shadow at the bottom right more noticeable. I would finish the job and remove what is left. |

You did a wonderful job with the "luminosity mask," making the inside of the store as attractive as what is going on outside. I like the bright colors of all the objects. The shopkeepers add interest to an already interesting scene. Good travel photo. |

It does look calm and restful. I like the coconut seedling at the right â…“ line.
I would crop some of the bright green ground cover at the bottom of the image, and crop a little more from the sides if you want to keep the same aspect ratio. I also would lighten the trees in the upper left - and put back into the image a little of the cropped sky to get the whole cloud on the upper right - with a little margin on top of it. |
