Beautiful portrait of a young woman, nicely posed and composed. But, like Walter, I prefer the color image. The image lost sharpness in the translation to black and white, and the cloning of the white on her arm is always a tough challenge. |

Great bird photo with pleasing reflections, after days of waiting.
All of the space at the top detracts from the impact. I would crop both the bird on the left and some of the water at the top. "Experts" say that groups should always be an odd number - and in this case, I believe that 3 would be better than 4, both to make the grouping an odd number and to allow for cropping the upper part while maintaining the aspect ratio. |

It is a beautiful flower - lovely colors - enhanced by the curving stem coming from the left. Good composition.
I agree with Bogdan that a much lower ISO and shutter speed would have served you better. You got a lot of noise and it wasn't necessary on a sunny day. Also, you somehow lost the sharpness of the flower in post-processing. Not sure how, but it would be useful for you to figure out how that happens. |

I too like that you copied the top border. Great idea. And I love the colorful background, but agree about dimming the wires in the bulbs. |

Good suggestion - to use the original rather than the HDR. I didn't notice. Thank you. And thanks to all 3 of you for pointing out that the top red boat has to go. Now I agree.

Your early rising paid off. You got a beautiful sky as a background for the guard. I like the edits which lightened the darkness in the lower third of the image, as well as the sky. I would use Noise Reduction/Luminance in Lightroom to smooth out the grain in the sky. |

I appreciate your comments - and love the bird on the boat. I'll give it a try. |
